As an insurance umpire, I serve as a neutral professional to help resolve disputes when you and your insurance company can’t agree on the value of a property damage claim. Many policies include an appraisal clause, which allows us to settle these disagreements quickly and fairly—without the stress and cost of going to court. In this process, each side hires an appraiser, and if they can’t reach an agreement, I step in to review the evidence, consider both perspectives, and make a final binding decision on the true value of the loss.
My role is to remain completely impartial while bringing deep expertise in construction, property valuation, and insurance claims. I have no financial interest in the outcome, which means you can trust that my decision is based only on the facts. By choosing the appraisal process and working with me as your umpire, you gain a faster, more affordable path to resolution and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your claim has been handled fairly and professionally.

We had storm damage at our house in March. Our insurance company was quick to be on the scene and made it seem like they were willing to take care of us. When we received our estimate and first check we quickly realized that wasn’t the case as a lot was left off. After hiring Ryan with CLC, he quickly went to work and took over all communications with our insurance company. He met a different adjuster at our home and was very thorough pointing out all damage and everything that was missed. He was quick with follows ups and stayed on them until we were taken care of. In the end, we received more than twice the original amount. Although we don’t ever want damage from a storm, if it ever happens again, we will be hiring Ryan.
Ryan and his team are top notch! He’s helped us on numerous claims and always knocks it out of the park! Highly recommend him for any insurance claim inside and out.
I can’t recommend working with Catastrophe Loss Consultants enough. Ryan was recommended by a local roofer after our house was sold and under contract and I was getting completely opposite opinions from roofers and my insurance company. On top of a move across states and expecting twins we were stressed. It was hard to trust anyone too with all the opinions we were getting, but Ryan came in calm and confident. He explained the process fully to me which eased my wife and I’s concerns. He was available for calls and texts when I needed him and walked along side us the whole way. It was truly a blessing to our family to have Ryan by our side during the whole process.
